Grubac Named A-10 Player of the Week

After opening the 2018 season in an impressive fashion, Sara Grubac added another honor as she was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Grubac, who was also tabbed as the Colonial of the Week, helped the GW women's tennis squad edge Harvard, 4-3, on Saturday at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center. Harvard, who took the 2017 Ivy League Champion title, is traditionally a top-75 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) program. On Saturday, Grubac provided the match clinching victory by defeating the Crimson's Neha Gupta, ranked 113 in the ITA, 7-6 (4), 6-4.

The honor marks her first A-10 Player of the Week recognition.
