LEADING OFF: The George Washington baseball team will host its penultimate home series of the season by welcoming Davidson to Tucker Field this weekend for a three-game Atlantic 10 set. First pitch on Friday is slated for 3 p.m.
STANDINGS CHECK: With four weekends left in the regular season GW sits at 5-7 in the A-10 (T-8th) while Davidson enters the weekend at 8-7 (6th). The top seven teams at the end of the regular season will advance to the Atlantic 10 Championship, May 24-27, in Saint Louis, Missouri.
HELPING HAND: Twelve different players have combined to account for a total of 49 multiple-RBI games throughout the season. Campbell leads the team with 12 multi-RBI games, including five games in which he has driven in at least three runs. Senior Eli Kashi along with freshmen Steve Barmakian and Nate Fassnacht each have tallied a game with four RBIs.
LONG BALL: GW has hit 15 home runs this season, the most by a team in a single season since 2012. The Colonials have already eclipsed last year's total of 13 with Campbell (7), Andrew Selby (3) and Brandon Chapman (3) leading the charge.
HEAVY HITTERS: GW leads the Atlantic 10 with a team batting average of .285. Contributing to the total is four everyday players hitting better than .300: Campbell (.354), Fassnacht (.344), senior Joey Bartosic (.324) and junior Robbie Metz (.308).
SCOUTING DAVIDSON: Davidson enters the weekend with a 21-17 overall record and an 8-7 mark in the Atlantic 10. The Wildcats lost two-of-three games in their last conference series at VCU two weekends ago.
