HEART OF THE ORDER: Senior Bobby Campbell and freshman Nate Fassnacht are anchoring the middle of the GW's batting order. Campbell is batting a team-best .353 with eight doubles, six home runs and 35 RBIs. Fassnacht sits second on the team, batting .340 with 10 doubles and 12 RBIs.
Both players enter Wednesday's game on significant streaks. Campbell has reached base safely in 16 consecutive games, including hitting safely in the last four games, while Fassnacht has been on base in each of the last 15 games.
STEALING HISTORY: Senior Joey Bartosic stole three bases in Sunday's doubleheader to become GW's all-time career steals leader with 80 bags. LAST TIME VS. DSU: Will Kobos struck out eight batters across five innings of work and the duo of Campbell and Fassnacht each tallied three hits as the Colonials won their 2017 home opener over Delaware State, 9-6, on February 22.
SCOUTING DELAWARE STATE: The Hornets carry a six-game winning streak into Wednesday's game after sweeping conference rival Maryland Eastern Shore over the weekend. DSU sits at 15-19 overall in 2017 and boasts a 7-5 record on its home field.
