Golf Finishes 10th at Ryman Intercollegiate

NASHVILLE -- Playing its penultimate tournament of the regular season, the GW golf team finished 10th at the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate, which wrapped up on Tuesday at Richland Country Club.
GW was led by Logan Lowe's T-32nd finish after the sophomore turned in his best round of the 54-hole event with a 4-over par 75 on Tuesday, following a 76 and 79 in the tournament's first 36 holes on Monday.
Christian Cichan (78-77-79) and Vince Palazzolo (80-80-74) tied for 46th with a 234 total, Jack Porcelli was T-51st at 235 (81-78-76) and Lucas Farmer finished 78th (76-84-91-251).
As a team the Colonials had their best round on Tuesday with a 304 to finish at 928 overall (310-314-304). Lipscomb stood atop the 14-team field with a 7-over 859 while Braden Thornberry of Ole Miss took the individual crown with a 14-under par 199.
The Colonials are set to close the regular season with their third tournament in a two-week span on Saturday with the one-day Yale Spring Invitational. Following a 12-day rest, the Atlantic 10 Championships will get underway on April 28 in Orlando.
