Women's Tennis Begins ITA Regionals on Friday

SERVING FIRST: The George Washington women's tennis squad is set to begin the annual ITA Atlantic Region Championships at Virginia Tech's Tennis Center on Friday.
COLONIALS COMPETITION: The ITA Atlantic Region includes schools located in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C. GW and host Virginia Tech will be joined by representatives from Delaware, Duquesne, Georgetown, Hampton, Howard, James Madison, Liberty, Longwood, Marshall, Maryland, Mount St. Mary's, Navy, Old Dominion, Penn State, Pitt, Radford, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Towson, VCU, Virginia, West Virginia, and William & Mary.
SET FOR SINGLES: Senior Marie-Louise Decamps and junior Maria Siopacha will represent the Colonials in singles play. Decamps will begin singles action on Friday while Siopacha will compete in the main draw on Saturday.
DOUBLE TROUBLE: Maria Siopacha and freshman Julia Herlogsson will pair for doubles action, set to begin on Friday.
FORMAT:
- Friday - Two rounds of singles qualifying; Round of 64 doubles
- Saturday - Round of 32 and 16 doubles; Round of 64 main draw singles
- Sunday - Quarterfinals of doubles, Round of 32 and 16 singles
- Monday - Semifinals of doubles, quarterfinals of singles, doubles finals
- Tuesday - Semifinals and finals of singles
