Lowe Leading GW at Bash at the Beach Collegiate Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- George Washington freshman Logan Lowe is in a tie for 10th place at the Bash at the Beach Collegiate Invitational after completing the first two rounds of play at even-par on Monday.
Lowe, who fired even-par 71 in each of Monday's rounds, is six shots back of leader Patrick Moriarty of host Appalachian State. As a team GW is in ninth place after a strong second round in which it shot 288, an improvement of 11 strokes, to move up from a tie for 15th.
Jack Porcelli helped lead the afternoon charge with a 2-under par 69 in his second round, while Christian Cichan shot a 1-over par 73 in the afternoon round. Porcelli, who opened with a 75, is in a tie for 20th, while Cichan is tied for 46th (76-72).
Lucas Farmer shot 77 in each of his rounds and Michael Helton followed an opening round 80 with a 76.
James Madison leads the event at 5-under par 563 while Arkansas State is three strokes back at 566. Final round play gets underway Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9:15 p.m. ET. Live stats can be followed at www.golfstat.com.
