GW Golf Completes Play at NC State Wolfpack Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The George Washington golf team completed play in the NC State Wolfpack Invitational at the Lonnie Pool Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.
GW finished 13th in the tournament, which opened with 36 holes on Monday before a final round of 18 on Tuesday. Sophomore Logan Lowe and redshirt junior Christian Cichan led the Colonials by each shooting 8-over par 221. Cichan closed with a 1-over par 72 in both the second and third rounds to bounce back from an opening round 77, while Lowe shot 73-72-76 to finish tied for 49th.
Junior Vince Palazzolo shot a 12-over 225 (73-74-78) to finish T-61, senior Lucas Farmer was 13-over with a 226 (81-72-73) to place T-64, and senior Michael Heda shot a 247 (78-87-82). The Colonials shot 890 as a team.
Individual champion Timothy Conover led East Carolina to the title by shooting 67 in each round for a 12-under par 201, as the Pirates finished 15-under as a team.
The Colonials return to action in two weeks when they return to North Carolina for the Elon Invitational at Alamance Country Club Oct. 17-18.
