GW Women's Tennis Continues Fall Slate at Virginia

UVa Fall Invitational Brackets
WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's tennis team will continue its fall slate at the three-day UVa Fall Invitational beginning on Friday and concluding on Sunday at the Cavaliers' Sheridan Snyder Tennis Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Colonials enter their second weekend of fall play after competing in the Elon and Saint Joseph's Invitationals from Sept. 11-13. Sophomore Teodora Radosavljevic and freshman Diana Kussainova each won their singles flights at the Elon Invitational.
Radosavljevic and Kussainova will again compete this weekend and will be joined by sophomore Marie-Louise Decamps and rookie Victoria Kogan.
The UVa Fall Invitational will consist of three singles flights and three doubles flights. Two doubles flights will produce both flight and consolation champions, while one doubles flight will be played in round-robin style.
Radosavljevic and Decamps will pair up for doubles action and will take on Marshall's Marija Bogicevic and Anne Gulsrud on Friday morning at 9 a.m. Simultaneously, Kussainova and Kogan will face off against Miami (Ohio)'s Anzhelika Shapovalova and Hannah Shteyn. Both pairs will compete in the White Doubles Round-Robin Flight.
In singles action, Radosavljevic will play Virginia's Cassie Mercer in the Orange Flight's Round of 16 at 11 a.m. Decamps will compete in the Blue Flight and will take on Utah'a Margo Pletcher at 10:30 a.m. in the Round of 16.
Kogan and Kussainova will compete in White Flight singles play. Kogan will take on Marshall's Bogicevic at 12:30 p.m. on Friday before taking on Utah's Alexia Petrovic in the flight quarterfinals at 3 p.m. Kussainova will battle Miami (Ohio)'s Nelli Ponomareva at noon on Friday in Round of 16 action.
Both singles and doubles play will continue on Saturday, with flight champions being determined on Sunday.
