WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's tennis squad (4-10, 0-2 A-10) will wrap regular season play over the weekend with a pair of Atlantic 10 contests as the Colonials visit George Mason on Friday in a Revolutionary Rivalry bout before heading to VCU on Sunday.
George Mason (6-4, 0-1 A-10) has won six of its last seven matches and VCU (9-8, 0-0 A-10) has defeated two of its last three foes.
Freshman Teodora Radosavljevic has triumphed in four of her last six solo matches for the Colonials, and holds a team-best 9-5 record this spring, all at the top spot.
A year ago, the Buff and Blue defeated George Mason, 6-1, as juniors Lana Robins and Egle Jakuciunaite and sophomore Taylor Nederlander downed their Patriot foes in straight sets.
GW currently holds a 7-5 lead in the Revolutionary Rivalry with a month remaining in the year-long competition.
In 2014, the Colonials fell to VCU, 7-0, who went on to claim the A-10 Championship title for the second consecutive season.
First serve on Friday is slated for 3 p.m. at the George Mason Tennis Courts, while Sunday's match at VCU's Thalhimer Tennis Center will begin at noon.
