Cichan, Lowe Finish Even-Par at Give `Em Five Invitational

EL PASO, TEXAS -- Redshirt sophomore Christian Cichan shot a final round, 2-under par 70 to finish in a tie for 36th alongside freshman Logan Lowe at the Price's Give `Em Five Invitational which wrapped play on Sunday.
Lowe, who shot 70 and 72 in the first two rounds, respectively, closed with a 74 for a three-round total of even-par 216. Cichan had also shot 70 in the tournament's opening round before turning in a 76 in round two. It marks the second time this season for each player to lead the Colonials, with Lowe having led GW in the season-opening Rutgers Invitational and Cichan doing it at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.
Sophomore Jack Porcelli closed the tournament at 6-over par (73-74-75--222) and in a tie for 60th, while fellow sophomore Vince Palazzolo finished strong with a 71 on Sunday for a three-day total of 7-over 223 (77-75-71). Junior Lucas Farmer finished 80th at 13-over par (79-72-78--229).
As a team, GW shot a 2-over par 290 on Sunday, the second time of the weekend to record that score. The Colonials also turned in a 290 on Friday before shooting 293 on Saturday, and with a three-day total of 873 finished 12th.
Kansas captured the team championship, shooting a 28-under 826, while Antoine Rozner of UMKC shot a 19-under 197 (63-67-67) to win the individual title.
The Colonials return to action next Sunday when they open play in the Hummingbird Intercollegiate in Cashiers, S.C., their final tournament of the fall season.
