Colonials Drop 20-6 Decision to George Mason

ARLINGTON, VA - The George Washington University baseball team returned home on Wednesday afternoon and dropped an out of conference game to the George Mason Patriots by the score of 20-6. Freshman Jeff Griffith got the start and only lasted two innings, allowing five earned runs.
Senior Tom Zebroski led the offense by reaching base four times and hit his seventh home run of the season. Redshirt Chris Luick also recorded two hits in defeat and scored a run. Junior Brendon Kelliher went 2-4 with a run driven in to raise his average to .395 on the season.
The Colonials saw two debuts on the mound when freshman Kevin Reagan and Justin Albright threw the last two innings, giving up one run each. Each player struck out a batter as well.
The Colonials will now travel to Dayton for a crucial three-game series beginning Friday, April 9th in Dayton, OH. George Washington stands at 6-0 in the A-10 standings and hold a half-game lead over Charlotte for first place. The Friday contest will have a 3:00 p.m. start time and the Saturday and Sunday contests have 1:00 p.m and 12:00 p.m. start times respectively.
