Baseball Blanked at Towson

The George Washington baseball team suffered a 12-0 setback at Towson on Tuesday afternoon, dropping GW to 17-26 on the season.
The Tigers used seven runs in the second inning, three in the third and two in the fifth to down the visiting Revolutionaries. GW used four different pitchers in the game, with Nathan Murphy tossing one scoreless frame in the sixth.
Cristino Tufano and Nick Mullen were responsible for GW's lone hits on the day, with Travis Peitz and Josh Wenz both working two walks as well.
GW returns to action Friday, opening a three-game series at George Mason at 2:00 p.m. Catch the action live on ESPN+.
