WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University baseball program has announced the dates and times for two separate groups of clinics, to be held throughout December and January: Steve Mrowka's Give Your Child the Advantage Clinics and the GW Winter Clinics.
The Give Your Child the Advantage Clinics are designed for three different age groups, 8-10, 10-12, and 12-14, and will offer the choice between either a six-week or four-week program. The camp is devised to improve the skills of all players, featuring proper teaching in hitting, fielding, pitching and catching. The six-week program will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m., on December 7, 14, 21, 28 and January 11 and 25.
The GW Winter Clinics, which are targeted toward the older ball player, consist of half-day pitching and hitting clinics, for any player age 8-18. Both the separate hitting and pitching/catching/infield sessions feature lectures on fundamentals, drill work and live practice with video analysis. The Pitchers/Catchers/Infield clinics will be held December 16, 22, January 12 and 27, 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. The Hitting clinics are the same dates, 10:00 a.m-1:00 p.m.
The camps, directed by Head Coach Steve Mrowka, along with Assistant Coaches Bob Smith and Dan Hodgson, will be in the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. For more information, please see the attached brochures or contact the baseball office at (202) 994-0327, hodgsond@gwu.edu.
