Baseball Adds Nine Freshmen To 2006 Team

WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington University head baseball coach Steve Mrowka announced Tuesday the additions of nine players to the program signed during the summer. The new crop of athletes, who will be freshmen this season, include four right-handed pitchers, three infielders and two outfielders.
Joining the Colonials this year is outfielder Matt Boyd (Rockville, MD / Magruder), right-handed pitcher Justin Dignelli (Katonah, NY / The Hackley School), right-handed pitcher Jim Duggan (Jefferson, MD / St. John's Prospect Hall), infielder Doug Eizen (Philadelphia, PA / The Haverford School), infielder Brian Hwang (Northvale, NJ / Northvale), RHP/INF Pat Lehman (Fair Lawn, NJ / Fair Lawn), outfielder Chris Marsicano (Old Tappan, NJ / Bergen Catholic), infielder Tim Reeves (Cumming, GA / North Forsyth), and right-handed pitcher Tim Sexton (Baltimore, MD / Calvert Hall College H.S.).

Mrowka on Sexton: "Tim is a tall right-handed pitcher that has good mechanics and arm action. He has a lot of potential that I hope will be seen early in his college career. He was a team captain and starter in high school and helped lead his club to a league championship."
