ANNAPOLIS, MD (Sept. 12, 1999) -- Junior Gavin Parsons fired a five-over-par 147 (73-74) to tie for 21st in the 36-hole Navy Fall Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Annapolis, MD. Teammate Thomas Blankvoort was one stroke behind Parsons with a 148 (76-72) placing him in a tie for 25th among 90 individuals. As a team, GW tied the University of Pennsylvania for 11th place in the 18-team field. Penn State won the team title with a nine-over-par 577, one stroke ahead of runner-up Temple.
