Olivia O'Brien enters her fourth year at GW and is currently responsible for helping coach the draw team, goalkeepers and offense. O'Brien came to GW from George Mason where she played for five seasons. During her time at Mason, O'Brien broke the program record for draw controls in a single season with 102, and draw controls in a single game with 18. During this time she led the Atlantic 10 conference and ranked in the top 25 nationally for draw controls per game. T
his, in turn, landed her a spot on the Virginia SID all state team for the 2021-2022 season, given to the top college athletes in the state of Virginia. A two-time team captain, O'Brien also received the Aimee Willard award; given to the George Mason student-athlete who mirrors the standards of quality set by Aimee in her two-sport career: intensity, consistency of purpose, achievement, and teamwork. She graduated from George Mason with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Master's degree in Strategic Communications. Prior to joining the staff at GW, O'Brien coached for the club team Yellow Jackets Lacrosse.Â
