GW lacrosse closed its non-conference slate with a 15-13 win over Lafayette on Wednesday afternoon at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters to conclude non-conference play with a 6-2 mark (1-0, A-10).

Starting off hot, the Buff & Blue notched five unanswered goals in the first quarter before the Leopards found the back of the net. Heading to the break, the Revolutionaries held a 10-4 advantage over Lafayette. In the second half, Lafayette found its momentum late, and the Leopards put up six goals in the fourth to narrow the Revolutionaries' lead, but it was GW who was able to make a defensive stand and walk away with the win.

GW put 32 shots on goal, led by Parker Febo and Grace Curry who each netted six goals. Mia Milkowski was also instrumental for the GW offense, tallying four assists alongside two goals of her own.

In the draw circle, Stella Ray and Daisen Iwan combined for eight of George Washington's nine draw controls, and Ray led the team in ground balls with three. On defense, Olivia Chesla, Parker Cranz and Mimi Walters each caused two turnovers, and Gabi Greth played all 60 minutes in goal and earned four saves.

The Revolutionaries turn their attention back to the A-10 slate, hosting La Salle at the Vern on Saturday at 1 p.m.
