Lacrosse Welcomes VCU for a Friday Conference Clash
3/26/2026 1:00:00 PM | Women's Lacrosse
GW lacrosse prepares to host VCU on Friday at the Vern. Opening draw between the Rams and Revolutionaries is slated for 1 p.m. with live action of the matchup shared on GW's live stats.
Heading into the contest, GW sits sixth in the conference with an even 2-2 mark in A-10 play after falling to Saint Joseph's and dropping a narrow overtime contest to Davidson at home. With five conference games remaining, GW will look to hold its top-six position to secure a spot in the A-10 Championship at the end of the regular season.
Individually, senior Grace Curry enters Friday's game third nationally in goals per game (4.73), sitting behind only North Carolina's Chloe Humphrey and Northwestern's Madison Taylor. Conference-wide, Curry leads the league in goals per game and ranks third in points per game. Having scored at least three goals in every game this season, Curry is on pace to set a new program record in single-season goals, which will be reached at 55 goals.
A LOOK AT THE RAMS
VCU enters Friday's meeting with a 7-3 mark, and the Rams are out to a hot 3-1 start in A-10 play, having earned three-straight conference wins over St. Bonaventure, Davidson and La Salle. As a team, the Rams sit second in the conference and most recently earned a 10-6 win over the Explorers. The Rams won last season's meeting between the teams, 16-7.
