Adria Crawford arrives in Foggy Bottom prior to the 2022-23 season and saw her team reach the A-10 Quarterfinals in her first season. The Buff and Blue earned the 7-seed in the tournament to notch a first-round bye, and then knocked off the 10-seed before narrowly falling in the quarters to the second seed.
With Crawford's input, GW set an all-time school record for made three-pointers in a single-season in 2022-23, and saw three players decorated with All-Conference honors, including first-year Nya Robertson, a former top-50 recruit, who was named the league's Sixth Woman of the Year.
Crawford joined GW after spending 2021-22 as an assistant at East Tennessee State University. During her one season with the Buccaneers, Crawford helped lead a squad that finished second in the Southern Conference in made 3-pointers and was in the top-3 in the conference in steals and blocked shots.
Prior to her time at ETSU, Crawford worked as an assistant at Marshall University. During her time in Huntington, Crawford served as the recruiting coordinator and assisted in bringing in a 2019 class that was ranked Top 60 nationally. Crawford also helped coach Marshall to just its fourth postseason bid with an appearance in the WBI in 2019.
Crawford also served time as an assistant at College of Charleston, where she was responsible for developing the team's post and wing players. She was also instrumental in handling the day-to-day operations of the program's academic and compliance efforts.
A native of Alexandria, Va., Crawford is a graduate of Georgetown University and was a four-year member of the Hoyas' women's basketball team. While on The Hilltop, Crawford was a member of three NCAA tournament teams, including an appearance in the 2011 Sweet Sixteen. Crawford finished her career second all-time at Georgetown with 131 games played and is in the top 15 in career rebounds (646), blocked shots (61) and steals (174).
