- Title:

- Phone:
- 994-7399
Ryan Gaynor joined the team's staff as the volunteer assistant in July 2021.
"Ryan is going to be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes and the program," Ritchie said. "He is one of the up-and-coming young talents in college coaching and comes to GW with a wide range of experiences and skills. We are incredibly excited about Ryan coming on board and are fortunate to have him become a member of the GW Baseball family."
Gaynor currently serves as the manager for the Waterloo Bucks of the summer collegiate Northwoods League and joins GW after two years as an assistant coach at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
"I'm beyond excited at the opportunity to join Coach Ritchie's staff," Gaynor said. "He and Coach Marshall have made George Washington feel like home in a short amount of time. I can't wait to get started building relationships on and off the field within the community and the team."
A graduate of Arizona State, Gaynor also has previous coaching experience with the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders of the Northwoods League and Santa Barbara City College. Prior to SBCC, he spent five seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, four of which were as the head of the Player Development program.
With the Pirates, his responsibilities included data and video collection to aid advance scouting that was to be used for player acquisition, coaching and evaluation.
