Baseball Hosts James Madison, Travels to Richmond as Regular Season Winds Down

With just two weeks left in the regular season, the George Washington baseball team hosts its final midweek matchup of 2026, welcoming James Madison to The Tuck on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. The Revolutionaries then travel to Richmond this weekend for a three-game series starting on Friday, with all three games carried live on ESPN+ at 1:00 p.m.

JMU travels to the DMV holding a 20-26 overall record and a 10-14 mark in the Sun Belt this season. The Dukes are coming off a series win against Marshall last weekend, taking games one and three from the Thundering Herd. JMU previously beat GW in a midweek match on March 18, topping the Revolutionaries, 12-7, using four runs in the fourth and sixth innings to secure the victory.

The Spiders escaped with a 10-9 win on Sunday, placing them fourth in the A-10 standings with two weekends to go. Richmond is led by Mik Aoki, who's in his third season with the program and 25th year overall as a Division I head coach. The Spiders rank third in the conference in team offense, holding a .281 average this season, while Richmond's pitching staff is second in the A-10 in ERA at 5.21.
