GW men's basketball continues its NIT chase on Sunday night as it visits New Mexico for an 8 p.m. ET tip on ESPN+. The matchup with the Lobos marks GW's 10th road/neutral game vs. a top-100 foe this season and the 12th top-100 game overall.

THE YEAR IN NUMBERS
The Revolutionaries surpassed the school record for assists with 18 helpers on Wednesday at Utah Valley and now have 537 on the year. It marks the second offensive school record broken this season with GW's 340 triples shattering the previous mark of 288.

GW enters Sunday 17 field goals shy of breaking that school record (980) and are second in program history in total points (2,787), sixth in rebounds (1,245) and ninth in steals (247).

A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE
GW and New Mexico have only met twice in program history, splitting a pair of meetings, but the Buff & Blue's lone win came in the opening round of the 1993 NCAA Tournament, opening the door for the program's lone appearance in the Sweet 16 following a win in the second round over Southern.

As a 12-seed, GW upset the 5th-seeded Lobos, 82-68, on March 19, 1993 in Tucson, Arizona. Kwame Evans scored 19 points off the bench for GW and Yinka Dare tallied a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds.

A LOOK AT THE LOBOS
New Mexico was one of the first four teams out of the NCAA Tournament and enters Sunday with a 24-10 record under first year coach Eric Olen, who came to the program from UC San Diego. The Lobos are making their 21st appearance in the NIT and fourth-straight trip to the postseason overall.

New Mexico starts three freshmen that all average in double figures, one of just two teams in the country (Arizona) that have three first-year, double-digit scorers. Jake Hall is the headliner as the Mountain West Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection, averaging 15.9 ppg and shooting 44.7% from 3-point range, sixth-best nationally.

Tomislav Buljan averages a double-double of 12.8 ppg and 10.4 rpg and is top-10 nationally in total rebounds per game (9th) and offensive rebounds per game (4.13, 5th). Deyton Albury (11.9 ppg) and Uriah Tenette (10.7 ppg) both chip in 10+ points a game.
