GW gymnastics is set to open its 2026 campaign in the Terrapin Quad, hosted by Maryland. The Revolutionaries will be tested by the hosts, in addition to fellow EAGL members New Hampshire and LIU in a 7 p.m. quad meet in College Park, Md., which will air live on Big Ten Plus.

· The Buff & Blue enter the 2026 campaign as the EAGL preseason favorites, as announced by the conference in December. GW finished its 2025 regular season with an EAGL championship and sent Delaney DeHaan, Lola Montevago, Deana Sheremeta and Kendall Whitman to NCAA Regionals.
· The GW Revs return 14 veterans, including six all-EAGL honorees and welcome five newcomers to its 2026 lineup in Emma Garner, Alison Mun, Luiselena Rodriguez, Aspen Tucker and Alexia Zakaryan.
· Of the four teams competing in Friday's quad, the host Terrapins finished the 2025 regular season ranked the highest at No. 31, followed by GW (No. 42), New Hampshire (No. 51) and LIU (No. 64)
CHANGES TO THE NQS
The National Qualifying Score (NQS) formula has been updated to reflect a larger sample of competition. Teams must now count a minimum of nine meets, replacing the previous system that relied on a fixed total of six competitions regardless of schedule length.
No more than five home meet scores may be used. If more than five are contested, only the five lowest home scores are retained. At least five road meet scores must also be included in the nine-meet minimum.
After the qualifying meets are selected, the highest and lowest scores are dropped, and the remaining scores are averaged to determine NQS, which is used for rankings and postseason qualification.
