WASHINGTON – Head Coach Gregg Ritchie and the George Washington baseball team have unveiled the program's 2026 schedule, which begins with a three-game series from February 13-15 at Western Carolina. GW's slate includes 54 total games, with 30 being played within the friendly confines of Tucker Field at Barcroft Park.
GW's opening weekend at Western Carolina is the first of four non-conference weekend series this season, but the only one that will take place away from The Tuck. The Revolutionaries' home opener is set for February 20th, as Lehigh travels to the DMV for a three-game set from Feb. 20-22. Other non-conference series include matchups with Saint Peter's (Feb. 27 – March 1) and Yale (March 6-8).
Atlantic 10 action starts early again this year, following the conference's decision to expand to 10 total series in league play a year ago. GW's conference opener is set for March 13-15, welcoming reigning champion Rhode Island to Tucker Field. GW will also host La Salle from March 27-29 in the program's first season back from dormancy. The Explorers haven't played since the 2021 campaign. Other home A-10 matchups include Saint Louis (April 10-12), Davidson (April 24-26) and Dayton (May 14-16). On the road, GW will face Saint Joseph's (March 20-22), St. Bonaventure (April 2-4), VCU (April 17-19), George Mason (May 1-3) and Richmond (May 8-10).
The 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship will remain in the DMV, returning to Capital One Park in Tysons, Va. After missing out last season, GW looks to return to postseason for the first time since 2024, when it advanced to the consolation semifinals.
