WASHINGTON – Head Coach Gregg Ritchie and the George Washington baseball team announced the addition of graduate transfer Luke LeMond to the roster ahead of the 2026 season. LeMond arrives in Foggy Bottom with one year of eligibility remaining after a four-year stint at Holy Cross.
LeMond appeared in 51 games during his tenure with the Crusaders, making one start during his junior season. He amassed a 5.02 ERA across those three seasons, tallying a 5-2 record on the mound. His junior year in 2024 was his best statistically, when he finished with a 3.52 ERA in 30.2 total innings. He allowed just 12 earned runs that season, striking out 25 batters and also recording four saves.
Across his career, LeMond notched eight saves and pitched 89.2 innings. He recorded 77 strikeouts and allowed only two home runs during that span. LeMond hails from Port Saint Lucie, Fla., and graduated from Martin County in 2021 before arriving on campus in the fall of the same year. He joins a group of 11 first-years that will begin their collegiate careers in Foggy Bottom next season for the Revolutionaries.
