Rowing Places 12th at Women's Sprints

WORCESTER, Mass. - GW rowing wrapped up its regular season on Sunday by taking part in the prestigious Women's Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond.
The Buff & Blue qualified for the Petite Final in three of its five boats following fourth-place finishes in the prelim heats from the V8, 2V8 and 2V4. GW's V8 came back in the evening to finish fourth in the petite final, eight seconds better than A-10 foe Rhode Island.
The top boat for the GW Revs also posted faster times in the final than ACC foe Boston College and was the 10th fastest among all heats. The 2V8 also bested Boston College and was the only A-10 team to qualify for the Petite Final.
GW accumulated 87 team points in the Willing Trophy standings for the event, good for 12th and the best finish against conference opponents UMass (14th) and Rhode Island (15th).
The Revolutionaries will now turn their attention to the Atlantic 10 Championship, contested on Saturday, May 17 on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. GW will be looking for its second championship in three years after claiming the title in 2023.
