Rowing Goes for A-10 Championship on Saturday

GW rowing has its sights set on an Atlantic 10 Championship this weekend with racing scheduled for Saturday on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. Preliminaries begin at 8 a.m. followed by finals at 11 a.m. with live coverage available on ESPN+.
The Buff & Blue are looking for the second team championship in program history, having previously done so in 2023. Rhode Island has won the title every other year the championship has been contested since 2018.

GW was in action most recently in late April at the Lake Wheeler Invite, going up against some of the best crews in the country. GW's V8 improved its time and ranking in each of the three rounds over the two days, pulling out head-to-head wins over West Virginia, Kansas and Villanova.
The 2V8 also showed improvement, finishing eight seconds faster from first wave to last wave and beating out Villanova twice, West Virginia, Navy and Kansas across the three rounds.

SEEDING
The A-10 has seeded the eight crews in the scoring events for this weekend - Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and Varsity 4. George Washington is the #2 seed in each of the three races behind #1 seed Rhode Island.
GW will also compete in non-scoring finals for the 2V4 and 3V8.
