Varsity 8 Wins A-10 Boat of the Week for GW Invite Showing

WASHINGTON -Â GW rowing's Varsity 8 was named the A-10 Boat of the Week for April 10-16 following its dusting of two conference foes at the GW Invite.
The V8 was composed of sophomore Benedetta Bonino, senior Lily Sarnowski, first-year Abigail Bradley, senior Brianne Wieczorek, senior Kendall Dorn, first-year Tara O'Reilly, junior Kelly Cleary, graduate student Mary Grace Konopka and junior coxswain Young Park.
The crew won by open water against both of its A-10 foes on its home course, trouncing Duquesne by nearly nine seconds and topping Fordham, the reigning A-10 Boat of the Week, by more than six seconds.
