
Outdoor Track Earns Nine Heat Victories, Shatters Five School Records at Hopkins/Loyola Invitational

Baltimore, Md.- GW track enjoyed a stellar Saturday in Baltimore, claiming nine heat victories across 12 events while also shattering five program records in the women's 200m, the women's 400m, the women's 100m hurdles, women's 400m hurdles and the women's 4x100 relay.
The women's 4x100 relay team of Janae Russell, Kamryn Holness, Olivia Clark and Madison Hardamon opened up the meet for the Buff & Blue, earning the program record in just 47.35 to claim second overall at the meet.
Holness earned her second school record of the afternoon in the women's 100m hurdles, notching a 15.57 to claim fifth overall. Her third program record came in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 1:06.79 and earning another top-10 finish at ninth overall.
In the women's 1500m, Hadley Mahoney (4:33.36), Shannon Hieber (4:39.94), Emma Friedrich (4:53.72), Ashley Robinson (4:55.87) and Erin Wallwork (5:02.10) all recorded personal best times, and Mahoney earned a seventh-place overall finish.
On the men's side of the 1500m, Cole McCue won the event in just 3:54.71, his career-best time. Joining him in PRs were Jimmy Gildea (3:56.09), Wesley Kaukas-Quinn (3:56.84), Cory Chambers (4:04.95) and Aiden Williams (4:08.20). Gildea (3rd) and Kaukas-Quinn (4th) also earned top-10 finishes.
Rylan Priest led the GW women in the 800m, earning a PR in 2:14.56, and Lola Dinneen (2:17.83) and Deirdre Kenny (2:21.20) each also earned a top-10 finish and a PR. On the men's side, Matt Rooney led the way in a personal best 1:54.56, eighth overall.
In the women's 400m, Dami Oyatayo won the event in a record-setting 55.85 to kick off her afternoon. Oyatayo's 400m time now puts her on the top-10 leaderboard for the conference. Alexia Massoud (59.11) also competed for the Buff & Blue, finishing sixth overall to claim another personal best time. Oyatayo's second record came in the 200m, finishing in 24.90, fifth overall, to officially claim the school record. Russell (25.43) and Clark (25.60) each earned a PR in the race, and Hardamon notched a seventh-place finish (25.23). Russell also made a showing in the 100m dash, finishing eighth in 12.51 seconds.
Concluding the afternoon for the Buff & Blue was Claire Bohan in the women's 3000m steeplechase, finishing second overall in 11:26.24. Joe Fahrney won the men's event for the second consecutive weekend in 9:23.29, his career-best time. Andrew McCabe also made a top-10 showing in the event in 10:22.58 to finish things off for GW.
The Buff & Blue now turn to preparing for the esteemed Penn Relays, held next Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Philadelphia. The schedule for the GW Revs will be announced prior to the start of the meet.
