Track Sends Eight to Penn Relays

WASHINGTON -Â GW track will send eight student-athletes to compete at the esteemed Penn Relays this Friday in Philadelphia. Four GW men will compete in the distance medley relay on Friday afternoon at 12:20 p.m., and four women will compete in the 4x400 relay at 6:50 p.m. at Penn's Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

In two stellar showings at the UVA and the Hopkins/Loyola Invitationals, the Buff & Blue shattered five program records, earned 10 heat victories and set over 25 personal-best times. Dami Oyatayo and Kamryn Holness each shattered a pair of program records, with Oyatayo's coming in the 200m and 400m, and Holness' in the hurdles with 100m and 400m hurdle records. The women's 4x100 relay team consisting of Holness, Janae Russell, Olivia Clark and Madison Hardamon also set a program record in their relay at Saturday's invitational. LINING UP
On the men's side, Pierce Kapustka, Matt Rooney, Nic Rodgers and Michael Bohlke will race in the men's distance medley relay on Friday at 12:20 p.m. Kapustka, Rodgers and Bohlke each made showings at the UVA Invitational last Friday, and Kapustka earned a personal-best time in the 1,500m event.
