Softball Looks to Stay Atop A-10, Visits George Mason for Doubleheader Wednesday, Saint Louis for Weekend Series

WASHINGTON - With wins in each of its last six games, GW softball returns to the field for five-consecutive conference games on the road this week. The Revolutionaries will make the short trip to Fairfax, Va., on Wednesday for a Battle of the Georges in a doubleheader (2:00 p.m.) at George Mason. Then GW heads to St. Louis for a three-game set against the Saint Louis Billikens on Saturday (12:00 p.m. DH) and Sunday (12:00 p.m.). All five games will be carried on ESPN+.
CORPUZ CROWNED A-10'S BEST AGAIN
GW star junior outfielder Ashley Corpuz was named Co-Atlantic 10 Player of the Week on Monday. Corpuz was once again key to GW's success last week as the Revolutionaries went 4-0. Corpuz was particularly impactful in the series finale vs. Dayton on Sunday, when she launched two late home runs to set up GW's comeback win. Corpuz is tied for 20th in the NCAA in total home runs with 13, trailing Arkansas' Bri Ellis with 18. Monday's recognition was Corpuz's third A-10 Player of the Week selection of 2025.
WINNING WAYS
Since returning from the Texas A&M Invitational in early March with a 7-7 record, GW has been on a tear. The Revolutionaries have won 15 of their last 18 games, and have improved to 22-10.Â
In the A-10, GW leads with an 8-1 record. GW also owns the longest win streak (six) and best overall win percentage (.688) in the conference.
The Revolutionaries have an opportunity to match or surpass its overall and A-10 win totals from 2024, 27 and 12, respectively, with five conference matchups this week.Â
