Softball Goes for Eighth-Straight Win on Wednesday Vs. Harvard

WASHINGTON - The George Washington University softball team is in search of its eighth-consecutive win on Wednesday, hosting Harvard at the GW Softball Field for a non-conference matchup. First pitch is slated for 2:00 p.m. and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
HEFFLEY HEATING UP
Graduate catcher Allison Heffley was named the A-10 Player of the Week on Monday, following a monster week where she reached safely in 14-15 plate appearances. Heffley was a key member of GW's offensive outburst over the last four games, scoring 12 of GW's 49 runs.
GW-HARVARD CONNECTS
GW goes to battle against Harvard with a handful of connections to the Crimson. GW graduate students Allison Heffley, Madi Mays and Anna Reed each had successful careers at Harvard before transferring to GW. Mays and Reed are new to GW this season, while Heffley is in her second year as a Revolutionary.
GW Head Coach Chrissy Schoonmaker also spent one season at Harvard as an assistant coach in 2021.
