Gymnastics Honors Senior Class in Final Home Meet of 2025

WASHINGTON - GW seniors Rachel Katz, Nancy Kiner, Madi McMullen, Kendall Whitman and Marlee York were honored on Friday evening on Senior Night in the Smith Center, and the GW Revs took fourth in the meet behind NC State, EAGL regular season champion Towson and Maryland with a score of 195.225.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Beginning on vault, Kendall Whitman led off with the highest score for the Revolutionaries with an 9.850 after a stuck-landing. In the anchor spot, all-around competitor Delaney DeHaan earned a 9.825, while Lola Montevago and Kasey Burke each tallied a 9.775. Zoe Safran earned a 9.700, and Rachel Katz rounded the rotation out with a 9.250. The GW Revs earned a vault score of 48.925. On the uneven bars, Montevago led the GW Revs with a 9.800, and DeHaan earned a 9.725 to lead off the event. Katz earned a 9.700, while Sophia Tyeryar and Madi McMullen each finished with a 9.625. Deana Sheremeta closed out bars with a 9.475. The home team earned a bars score of 48.475. Moving to the beam, Sheremeta highlighted the third rotation for the Buff & Blue with a 9.875 stick on the beam, and Montevago notched a 9.800. DeHaan tallied a 9.750, and Whitman and McMullen finished with a 9.650 and 9.525 respectfully. In the anchor position, Maya Peters rounded out with a 8.925 as GW notched a 48.600 on beam. Finishing the evening on floor, the GW Revs finished strong with a team score of 49.225, its highest of the evening. DeHaan dazzled with another 9.900 on the event, while Whitman (9.875) and Sheremeta (9.850) were right behind. McMullen earned a new personal-best 9.800 on Senior Night along with Kylie Kazmierski, and Kasey Burke finished with a 9.650.
