WASHINGTON - GW gymnastics will welcome Towson, Maryland and NC State on Friday night to the Smith Center to celebrate Senior Night, before heading to Maryland on Sunday afternoon to once again face the Terrapins and Tigers, in addition to Yale. Friday's action in the Smith Center is set for 6 p.m., followed by a senior ceremony. Action on Sunday in College Park will begin at noon. Â
CELEBRATING THE SENIORS
The Buff & Blue will recognize its senior class on Friday, highlighting the accomplishments of Madi McMullen and Nancy Kiner, along with team captains Rachel Katz, Kendall Whitman and Marlee York. Four members of GW's senior class were a part of the EAGL championship winning team in 2022, and the class has combined for 15 All-EAGL accolades across their GW gymnastics careers, and each senior has earned All-EAGL Scholastic team honors at least once. Two-time team captain Kendall Whitman has made three individual NCAA regional appearances in her time as a GW Rev as well. TAKING ON THE TIGERSÂ
Friday's matchup with Towson will decide the EAGL regular season champion. With both programs entering the weekend at 3-0 in the conference, the winner of Friday's head-to-head will be crowned as EAGL Regular Season Champions. Towson sits just ahead of GW in the Road to Nationals rankings at No. 35 with an NQS 195.660. GW holds a 195.555 NQS and sits at No. 36. As their records suggest, both programs have dominated the conference this season, with gymnasts from each program headlining the leaderboards for each event. For GW, Delaney DeHaan leads the conference on vault and in the all-around, and Whitman leads on floor. For Towson, Isabella Minervini leads on bars, while Clara Hong leads the league on the beam. A LOOK AT THE NON-CONFERENCE OPPONENTS
