WASHINGTON - GW softball is on to its final game before conference play starts, a Wednesday afternoon matchup against Morgan State in Baltimore. First pitch against the Bears is set for 2:00 p.m.
CORPUZ, TORRESO SHINE
GW junior outfielder Ashley Corpuz and sophomore pitcher Sophia Torreso each picked up A-10 weekly awards after leading GW to a 5-1 record last week. Corpuz was named the A-10 Player of the Week, while Torreso was dubbed A-10 Pitcher of the Week. Each has now won their respective award for the second time this season.
