GREENWOOD, IN – Five George Washington baseball players have been selected as part of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Baseball team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Jarrett Korson, Brandon Siegenthaler, Michael Foltz, Brett Young and Ellis Schwartz were among those selected. Notably, Foltz will also advance to the Academic All-America ballot which will be voted on by members of CSC and formally announced on July 2. A full list of the 2024 NCAA Division I All-District honorees can be found here.
The 2024 CSC Academic All-District Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The Academic All-America program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
The honor comes less than two weeks after GW completed the 2024 season which saw the program reach 30 wins for the first time since 2019. The Revolutionaries also made an appearance in the Atlantic 10 Championship for the first time since the 2018 campaign, knocking off Dayton, but ultimately falling in the consolation semifinals to Saint Joseph's.
