
Gymnastics Scores 195.100 in Meet with NCAA's Top-Ranked Programs

The GW gymnastics team got both a front row seat and an opportunity of a lifetime to go toe-to-toe and leo-to-leo with two of the top-ranked programs in the country on Friday night in Baton Rouge where they met #3 LSU and #14 Auburn, in addition to Texas Woman's. For their efforts, the GW Revs came away with 195.100 points, finishing third in the quad meet behind LSU (198.425) and Auburn (197.050).
Kendall Whitman provided senior leadership ahead of her Senior Day meet (March 17th at 1 p.m. at Smith Center), showing off her two-time NCAA national meet participant bonafides by leading her team on both vault (9.875) and floor (9.850). First-year Delaney DeHaan exemplified GW's youth movement with a team-best 9.875 on the bars, while junior transfer, by way of Pitt, and photography whiz Nancy Kiner led George Washington on the beam with a 9.850. Other performers scoring a 9.800 or better included Rachel Katz (9.825), Anneliese Silverman (9.800) and Marlee York (9.800) on vault, Rachel Katz (9.825) on bars, Silverman (9.800) and Maya Peters (9.800) on beam, and Kasey Burke (9.800) and Deana Sheremeta (9.800) on floor.
