Men's Basketball Hosts Richmond on USA Network Saturday

WASHINGTON - GW men's basketball is set to battle Richmond on Saturday afternoon, completing the season home-and-home between the teams. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on USA Network.
GAME PROMOTIONS: Saturday is the annual "White Out" with all fans encouraged to wear white to the matchup. Fans can also take advantage of a special concession deal with discounted beers and Truly beverages for $3.50. At halftime, fans will be wowed by the Amazing Tyler Balancing Act!
TV TIME
Saturday's game marks GW's third nationally-televised game of the season, a welcome sign for the Buff & Blue. The Revolutionaries won both of their previous national TV games at VCU (84-82) and vs. George Mason (75-62). In the last two years under Coach Caputo, GW is 6-1 in regular season A-10 games that air on the league's broadcast partners.
BREAKOUT GAME FOR ANTOINE SMITH JR.
Antoine Smith Jr. has enjoyed playing George Mason this season, averaging 10.5 ppg in two games against the Patriots. A LOOK AT THE SPIDERS
Richmond has dropped two of its last three games; at VCU and at home on Wednesday vs. UMass to sit at 9-2 in A-10 play, a half-game behind league leaders Loyola Chicago and Dayton. Jordan King, who scored 32 in the team's first meeting, has thrived in his first year at Richmond, ranking second in the league with 18.5 ppg. Neal Quinn (12.0 ppg) and Isaiah Bigelow (11.3 ppg) are the two other double-figure scorers for the Spiders. Bigelow scored a career-high 20 vs. GW in the last meeting.
Richmond has been elite on the defensive end of the floor, ranking 26th in adjusted defensive efficiency and 13th in defensive effective field goal percentage. The Spiders rank 31st nationally, holding opponents to 65.2 points per game, and are also 22nd in the NCAA in 3-point defense, limiting foes to 29.8% beyond the arc.
GW's 74 points scored in the first meeting are an Atlantic 10-high against the Spiders this season, who have held opponents to 70 points or fewer in 12 of the last 13 games overall.
