Gymnastics Finishes First at Pink/Barbie Meet

Maya Peters and Delaney DeHaan set career-highs on bars and beam
WASHINGTON – GW gymnastics scored a season-high 196.625 at home on Friday night in its third first-place finish in a row as part of its Pink/Barbie meet.
GW scored a 49.300 on vault, a 48.650 on bars, 49.300 on beam and a 49.375 on floor.
Kendall Whitman took second place in the all-around with a career-high score of 39.200. Whitman also took first place on floor with a career-high tying 9.950. Rachel Katz tied for first on vault with a career-high tying score of 9.900. Maya Peters also placed first on beam with a career-high score of 9.925. Delaney DeHaan placed first on bars with a career-high score of 9.825.
FIRST ROTATION: VAULT (49.300)
Rachel Katz tied her career-high on vault with a 9.900. Sarah Zois and Kasey Burke each posted a 9.875. Anneliese Silverman and Kendall Whitman each added a 9.825. Marlee York ended the rotation with a 9.775.
SECOND ROTATION: BARS (48.650)
Following DeHaan's career-high 9.825, Rachel Katz added a 9.775. Anneliese Silverman scored a 9.700. Madi McMullen and Kendall Whitman both added a 9.675, and Maya Peters finished the rotation with an 8.750.
THIRD ROTATION: BEAM (49.300)
Maya Peters posted a career-high 9.925. Sarah Zois added a score of 9.875. Nancy Kiner posted a career-high 9.850. Brooke Izzo and Anneliese Silverman each scored a 9.825. Kendall Whitman finished the rotation with a 9.750.
FOURTH ROTATION: FLOOR (49.375)
Kendall Whitman placed first overall and tied her career-best with a 9.950. Deana Sheremeta matched her career-high for the second meet in a row with a score of 9.900. Kasey Burke added a score of 9.875. Payton Lynch scored a 9.850. Marlee York scored a 9.800, and Anneliese Silverman ended the rotation with a 9.125.
