WASHINGTON – Head Coach Gregg Ritchie and the George Washington baseball team have announced the addition of Tanner Sinicki to its coaching staff. Sinicki will serve as the team's Director of Pitching and Player Development with the Buff & Blue.
"GW Baseball is excited to welcome Tanner to our coaching staff," said Ritchie. "He brings a difference-making work ethic and enthusiasm. Tanner has an all-in winning mentality with a solid teaching skill set that will assist the Buff & Blue in development and performance."
Sinicki arrives in Foggy Bottom after spending the past four months as Wilkes University's Co-Pitching Coach. While with the Colonels, Sinicki managed the team's pitching staff, assisted in player development, helped coordinate the program's recruiting efforts and assisted in team and prospect camps.
Prior to his time with Wilkes, Sinicki spent the summer of 2024 in the prestigious Cape Cod League, where he served as the Assistant Pitching Coach for the Bourne Braves. Sinicki worked with some of the top collegiate pitchers in the country and coached the staff to the best ERA in the league. Sinicki also coordinated the program's youth clinics while also handling administrative duties as well.
During the 2024 season, Sinicki spent time at his alma mater as the Director of Baseball Operations and Bullpen Coach for Binghamton. His responsibilities included organizing all recruit visits, overseeing the team's nutrition, coordinating all team travel, creating scouting reports for opposing pitchers, and handling team NCAA compliance tasks.
Following his graduation from Binghamton in 2023, Sinicki spent the summer as the Wilmington Shark's Pitching Coach in the Coastal Plain League. His stint was a successful one as he helped develop the staff into a top-three unit in ERA, hits allowed and batting average against.
Sinicki graduated from Binghamton in 2023 with a degree in psychology.
