Gymnastics Travels to Towson for Chelli Calloway Invitational

WASHINGTON - The GW gymnastics team will visit Towson, Md. on Friday, Jan. 26 to face off against EAGL opponents UNH and the host Tigers, alongside Cornell at 6 p.m.
NEXT LEVEL PODIUM CHALLENGE RECAP
GW gymnastics scored a 193.475 at the Next Level Podium Challenge this past weekend as part of a third-place finish behind second-place Illinois State with a 195.900. Western Michigan came in first with a score of 196.125.
GW scored a 48.600 on beam, 48.900 on floor, 49.025 on vault and 46.950 on bars.
Kendall Whitman tied for first out of all performers with a 9.900 on vault. Anneliese Silverman took first place on bars with a score of 9.775. Newcomer Brooke Izzo and Deana Sheremata tied for first on beam with a score of 9.750. Whitman paced the floor rotation for GW for the third meet in a row with a score of 9.900.
A LOOK AT UNH, TOWSON AND CORNELL
The Tigers are coming off of a dual-meet loss against fellow EAGL opponent Temple, where they scored a 195.325. Temple posted a 195.900.
UNH finished in first place at the LIU Quad Meet in Brookville, N.Y., this past Sunday with a score of 195.400. Host LIU posted a 192.825, followed by Yale with a score of 192.350, and Southern Connecticut finished in fourth with a score of 191.925.
Cornell came out on top at their first home meet of the season on Sunday with a score of 190.825 over Bridgeport, who scored a 189.850.
