NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – GW volleyball was selected to finish fourth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll, the conference announced on Tuesday.

GW earned 67 points in the poll while defending champion Loyola Chicago earned 97 points and seven first-place votes to take the top spot. Dayton checked in at No. 2 and Davidson was projected to finish third.

Returning 12 letterwinners from 2022 and five newcomers, GW aims to make consecutive trips to the Atlantic 10 Championship in Head Coach Katie Reifert's second year at the helm. GW went 17-14 overall in the regular season, its most wins since 2015.

The Buff & Blue begin the 2023 campaign on Friday, Aug. 26 at American, with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
