
Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Thanks to its hard work in the classroom, GW men's basketball earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Excellence Award, it was announced on Thursday.
As a team, the Buff & Blue posted a 3.015 GPA in coach Chris Caputo's first year on campus. GW was one of just four programs in the Atlantic 10 to earn the distinction, joining Davidson, La Salle and Richmond.
Individually, Amir Harris (3.68 GPA in Psychology), Brendan Adams (3.61 GPA in MBA) and Keegan Harvey (3.88 GPA in Civil Engineering) were named to the NABC Honors Court for their accomplishments in the classroom.
The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2022-23 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Over 1,800 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 300 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2022-23.
