Gymnastics Aims for Second Straight EAGL Championship

WASHINGTON – Seeking a repeat East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) conference title, fourth-seeded GW gymnastics will compete at the 2023 EAGL Championship on Saturday at New Hampshire's Whittemore Center at 1 p.m.Â

REIGNING CHAMPIONS
GW seeks its fourth EAGL title and second consecutive hoist of the coveted EAGL trophy after topping the eight-team league at the Charles E. Smith Center in 2022. Last year's championship was GW's eighth overall title after being members of the Atlantic 10 and EAGL conferences.
REGULAR SEASON STANDINGSÂ
Led by graduate student Deja Chambliss, GW finished first on vault among its seven EAGL foes with a 49.145 NQS. The Buff & Blue finished fifth overall on bars with a 48.985 NQS, second on beam with a 49.050 NQS and fourth overall on floor with a 49.170 NQS. Chambliss finished the regular season first overall on vault with a 9.890 NQS, the second straight season that Chambliss has led the league on the event. Chambliss is second in the all-around with a 39.345 NQS. Kendall Whitman is tied for third in EAGL on floor with a 9.915 NQS and Chambliss is tied for fifth on the event with a 9.905 NQS. On bars, Libby Garfoot is sixth in EAGL with a 9.875 NQS.Â
