Gymnastics Scores 195.950 in First-Place Finish on Senior Day

Whitman and Chambliss combine for three podium finishes
WASHINGTON – Boosted by a fourth rotation season-high 49.300 on floor, GW gymnastics scored 195.950 as part of its first-place finish in the Senior Day quad meet with Maryland, Towson and William & Mary.
GW scored 48.800 on vault, 48.750 on bars and 49.100 on beam to set the final tally. Maryland placed second with 195.700, Towson third with 195.425 and William & Mary fourth with 192.800.
GW's season-high on floor was highlighted by a pair of 9.925s from Deja Chambliss and Kendall Whitman, naming them co-champions on the event. It's Whitman's seventh 9.900+ on floor this season and third 9.925. For Chambliss, it was her fifth 9.900+ this year and second 9.925 to match her season-high.
Whitman was also named beam champion with a career-high matching 9.875. On beam, Marlee York matched her personal best with a 9.800 adding to her season-best all-around score of 38.950.
ROTATION ONE – VAULT (48.800)
GW began its night on vault, led by Chambliss with a 9.825. Rachel Katz and Whitman added 9.775s, York posted a 9.725 and Hannah Munnelly and Sarah Zois rounded out the vault lineup with 9.700s.
ROTATION TWO – BARS (48.750)
Libby Garfoot led GW on bars with a 9.825, while Munnelly added a 9.800. Anneliese Silverman and Chambliss added 9.725s, Katz posted a 9.675 and York added a 9.650.
ROTATION THREE – BEAM (49.100)
GW moved to beam for its third rotation, led by Whitman's 9.875. Zois added a 9.850, Silverman and York posted 9.800s, Katz added a 9.775 and Chambliss finished the beam lineup with a 9.275.
ROTATION FOUR – FLOOR
Led by Whitman and Chambliss, GW finished the night on floor with Deana Sheremeta adding a 9.850, Payton Lynch with a 9.825, York with a 9.775 and Silverman with a 9.600.
