Pateros Named MAWPC Player of the Week

Graduate student earns top honor in first weekend with Buff & Blue
WASHINGTON - GW water polo graduate student Theodoros Pateros was named MAWPC Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday.
In his first week donning the Buff & Blue, Pateros put forth an electric offensive showing with 15 goals, five assists, two steals and six exclusions drawn across four games at the Navy Open. The Long Beach State transfer scored at least three goals in each contest to help GW go 3-1 on the weekend.
A native of Glyfada, Greece, Pateros opened his GW career with a hat trick against #11 Princeton, tossing in an assist. From there, Pateros scored four goals in each of his final three games against Biola, Mt. San Antonio and Salem, saving his best for last with a seven-point game vs. the Tigers thanks to three assists.
Pateros and the Colonials return to action with three games at the Princeton Invitational this weekend.
