Lacrosse to Play Saint Joseph's in A-10 Quarterfinals

Opening draw set for Thursday at 2 p.m.
WASHINGTON – GW lacrosse will open Atlantic 10 postseason play with a quarterfinal matchup against Saint Joseph's on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Garber Field in Amherst, Mass.
REGULAR SEASON REWINDÂ
The Buff & Blue finished the regular season 5-12 overall and 3-6 in conference play. GW clinched the No. 6 spot in the Championship after a tiebreaking 13-8 win over VCU on Senior Day. In the win, Phoebe Mullarkey tallied her third career hat trick to lead nine GW scorers.
Katelyn Walker capped her junior season leading GW with 20 goals. Walker scored in all but four contests for the Buff & Blue and has found the back of the net in seven straight games heading into the postseason. Senior captain Tori Hampton put together a balanced regular season, leading her team with 28 points behind 18 goals and 10 assists. Hampton dished out a career-high four assists vs. Duquesne on April 16.

On Saturday, senior goalkeeper Megan Patrick hit a new career milestone, tallying her 400th career save to pen her name in GW's record book. The Aurora, Colo., native is now third in program history with 401 career saves. Patrick finished the regular season second in the A-10 in saves per game (11.69 avg) and posted a career-high 187 saves this season, boosted by a personal-best 23 vs. Richmond on March 27.
CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKETÂ
The winner of Thursday's quarterfinal will meet No. 2 Richmond on Friday at 2 p.m., with the Championship final on Sunday at noon.
