GW posts third-straight 195.000-plus
TOWSON, Md. – GW gymnastics recorded its third-straight score above the 195.000 mark, finishing with a 195.575 to place third in a quad meet at Towson with Maryland and Southern Connecticut. The Terrapins finished first with a 197.175, Towson placed second with a 196.625 and Southern Connecticut rounded out the four-team field with a 190.525.
Anneliese Silverman set a personal best on bars with a 9.900 to lead GW on the event and finish third overall. Kendall Whitman posted her fourth 9.900-plus of the season on floor to finish second overall. Deja Chambliss tied for first overall on vault with a 9.900.
ROTATION ONE
GW began its evening on bars led by Silverman's 9.900. Simone Banen matched her career high with a 9.875, and Rachel Katz, Hannah Munnelly and Chambliss added 9.800s. Olivia Raymond finished the first rotation with an 8.900.
ROTATION TWO
The Buff & Blue headed to beam for their second rotation, led by Whitman with a 9.800. Olivia Raymond and Silverman added a pair of 9.725s, while Sarah Zois earned a 9.700. Katherine Shek (9.325) and Deja Chambliss (9.250) completed the beam lineup.
ROTATION THREE
GW took to floor for its third rotation, with Whitman leading the way with her 9.900. Chambliss added a 9.850, and Payton Lynch posted a 9.800. Olivia Zona registered a 9.775, and Marlee York and Raymond added a pair of 9.750s.
ROTATION FOUR
GW finished the night on vault led by Chambliss' 9.900. Katz and Zois added 9.825s, while Whitman posted a 9.775. York registered a 9.725, and Munnelly finished with a 9.625.
