
Gymnastics Hits Season-High in First-Place Finish

Chambliss has career day in all-around victory
WASHINGTON – Behind three event scores of 49.000+, GW gymnastics posted a season-high 196.025 en route to a first-place finish at its Pink Meet with Kent State, Eastern Michigan and LIU.
Kent State placed second with a 195.600, Eastern Michigan totaled a 195.200 and LIU earned a 193.575. GW's season-best total came behind event scores of 49.250 on vault, 49.000 on bars, 48.650 on beam and 49.125 on floor.
Deja Chambliss had herself a career-high day, earning a perfect 9.950 on vault in the team's first rotation. The graduate student earned her third all-around title of the season, earning a career-high on vault and tying her personal-best on bars to boast a career-high 39.425 in the all-around.
Chambliss and Olivia Raymond topped the floor podium with a pair of 9.875s, a career-high for Raymond.
ROTATION ONE
Chambliss' perfect score highlighted the vault lineup, which also saw Sarah Zois and Marlee York set career-highs with a 9.825 and a 9.775, respectively. Rachel Katz and Kendall Whitman added a pair of season-best 9.850s, and Hannah Munnelly tied her career-high with a 9.775.
ROTATION TWO
GW headed to bars for rotation two, led by Chambliss with a 9.850. Olivia Raymond, Simone Banen and Libby Garfoot each added a 9.800, and Katz registered a 9.750. Anneliese Silverman rounded out the bars lineup with a 9.100.
ROTATION THREE
The Buff & Blue took to beam for rotation three, with Whitman, Banen and Chambliss earning identical 9.750s. Zois and Katherine Shek added a pair of 9.700s, and Silverman recorded a 9.675.
ROTATION FOUR
GW ended its afternoon on floor. Chambliss and Raymond paced the floor lineup 9.875s, a season-best for Raymond. Zona and Payton Lynch earned 9.825s, and York and Whitman added 9.725s.
