
Gymnastics Earns 195.850 on Senior Day

Buff & Blue celebrate seniors Banen, Chambliss, Shek, Raymond and Zona
WASHINGTON – In its final regular season home meet, GW gymnastics posted a 195.850, finishing second to the visiting NC State Wolfpack (196.025) and ahead of Temple (194.875).
GW earned its second-place finish after event scores of 48.875 on vault, 48.825 on bars, 48.775 on beam and a season-high 49.375 on floor.
The Buff & Blue's season-best on floor came from all six gymnasts posting a 9.750-plus on the event. Kendall Whitman led the team with a season-high 9.925, earning her a share of the floor title.
On vault, Deja Chambliss earned her sixth title of the season, pacing GW with a 9.875. Chambliss finished the day second in the all-around with a 38.975.
Anneliese Silverman posted a career-high 9.900 on beam to earn her first overall event title of her GW career.
ROTATION ONE
GW's afternoon started on vault, led by Chambliss' 9.875. Sarah Zois earned a 9.775, while Marlee York and Whitman registered matching 9.750s. Hannah Munnelly posted a 9.725 and Rachel Katz finished the vault lineup with a 9.550.
ROTATION TWO
The Buff & Blue moved to bars for their second rotation, led by Simone Banen, with a season-high matching 9.825. Olivia Raymond registered a 9.800 and Chambliss added a 9.775. Silverman earned a 9.725, Katz posted a 9.700 and Libby Garfoot wrapped up the bars rotation with a 9.625.
ROTATION THREE
Silverman's 9.900 began GW's beam rotation, with Whitman and Shek each tying their career-high with a pair of 9.825s. Zois added a 9.800, Chambliss posted a 9.425 and Raymond competed on beam for the first time this season, scoring a 9.100.
ROTATION FOUR
GW ended the day on floor with Whitman and Chambliss posting 9.900+'s to lead the floor lineup. Zona posted a 9.875, York registered a career-matching 9.850, Payton Lynch added a 9.825 and Raymond recorded a 9.750.
